I’ve been granted access to the Calendar of my manager. However, now I’m being bombarded with meeting invitations and responses for my manager as well.
How can I stop this and only receive my own invitations again?
I have analyze that why Windows users - can able to open the share calendar but Mac users - Can't. Because Windows users Outlook Application Connected to Microsoft Exchange server, But Mac users Outlook Application Connected to Onmicrosoft. In Outlook 2010, click the Open Calendar button located in the Home menu and select Open Shared Calendar In Outlook 2007, click Open Calendar and then click Open Shared Calendar. Search for the Exchange account associated with the calendar by entering information in the Name field or by clicking the Name button to open the Address Book and search.
While you could create a rule to sort out the mess, the real solution lies in requesting your manager to modify the delegate permissions he/she has set up for you.
By default, delegates are set to receive copies of meeting-related messages such as meeting requests and responses. It will take your manager only a few seconds to change it so that you won’t receive these anymore.
Delegates Permissions dialog
The option to change this behavior can be found in the Delegates Permissions dialog;
- Outlook 2007
Tools-> Options…-> tab: Delegates - Outlook 2010 / 2013 / 2016 / 2019 / Office 365
File-> Account Settings-> Delegate Access
Here, double click on the delegate or select it and press the Permissions… button to open the dialog to specify the permissions for the delegate.
Disable the option: Delegate receives copies of meeting-related messages sent to me
Note: Even without the copies, but with Editor permissions, you can still create, accept and decline meeting invitations from within the Calendar of your manager.
Carefully consider which permissions are really needed for your Delegate.
